MIAMI – The Comites elections, there was no doubt about it, turned out to be a giant flop in the Miami constituency as well. Out of a population of about 45,000 Italians eligible to vote, just under 800 (not even 2 percent) had registered to elect the new 12 representatives to be chosen from 4 lists and 52 candidates. In the end, the vote tally was just 592 admitted ballots, 93 voids, 1 blank, and 4 void lists.

Tricolor List: Andrea Di Giuseppe 148, Massimo Reboa 93, Anna Zuccarone 89, Melania Basile 51, Pasquale Cetera 48.
Italy helps: Andrea Natale 65, Domizia Accolla 40.
Italiani uniti: Augusto Cavallini 83, Angela Capuzzello 39, Marco Pignatelli 36.
Italia che ci lega: Raffaella Cordova 52, Silvana Morena 27.
The first meeting of the new Comites is scheduled for Dec. 16 at the headquarters of the Consulate General of Italy in Miami.
