L’December 8th is a fundamental day for our faith and tradition. With the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, I had the pleasure of standing before a symbol that speaks to the heart of every Italian: the Nativity scene created in Saint Patrick Church, here in New York.
Seeing the Nativity play on American soil isn’t just a moment of spirituality; it’s a powerful reminder of our roots, our history, and the values our ancestors brought with them overseas.
The nativity scene thus becomes more than a decoration, a true act of identity. Remind everyone, in a simple and profound way, who we are and where we come from. It is the first, true cultural “act of faith” that we open in every Italian home in the world, a symbol of family and hope.
I wish all Italians living in North America and their families that the Immaculate Conception will guide us towards a Christmas of peace, unity, and rediscovery of the values that make our nation great, wherever we are. May Christmas begin, here too, in the name of our beautiful tradition! 🇺🇸 🇮🇹
