The Senate gave the final green light to my bill: a historic achievement for the more than 3 million Italians registered with AIRE living in non-EU countries.
Until yesterday, those living outside Europe were losing their right to medical care in our country. Today we restore dignity and protection to millions of compatriots, an act of justice due to those who live abroad but hold Italy in their hearts.
With an annual contribution of 2,000€ (minors and pensioners exempt), it will be possible to reactivate registration with the NHS and obtain the Health Card to use all medical services during stays in Italy, including among the services:
Primary care physician
Drug prescription
Scheduled care and admissions
There are no second-class Italians. Giorgia Meloni’s government is present for its citizens, with a state that protects their rights everywhere in the world.
