Today, I spoke at the conference “EU Enlargement: Neighboring Countries – Cooperation for Peace and Economic Development” as chairman of the Standing Committee on International Trade of the Chamber of Deputies. The event, moderated by Professor Felipe Pathé Duarte of the Universidad Nova de Lisbon, was an important opportunity for dialogue – EU enlargement, entrepreneurship and economic relations with Italy were discussed – with Serbia and Moldova, represented respectively by Miroslav Gačević, Deputy Minister for European Integrations, and Moldovan MP Victoria Fortuna, former Anti-Corruption Attorney General in her country. These are very important nations for future continental political borders and for NATO.
