That of the Flotilla is an unconscious and risky gesture, which does not open diplomatic spirals but adds fuel to the fire of an already high tension. It is yet another demonstration of sterile activism, which brings neither #peace nor justice, but only the danger of military escalation.
Foreign policy is not improvised, it is not a stage for easy applause: it is patience, knowledge of the files and responsibility towards allies and partners. Just what our government is doing, working, with discretion and seriousness and building real dialogues and mediation for peace. This is the role of a serious country.
