Strengthening trade relations, cultivating dialogue and above all transforming strategy into concrete results for our businesses. This is the heart of my speech at’ India EU Forum, nel panel “Waves of Cooperation: Advancing Strategic Connectivity Across Regions”. The agreement between the EU and India reached in recent weeks marks a turning point: it involves two billions of people and weighs about a quarter of world GDP. It’s not just trade: it’s a strategic choice that opens up markets, sectors and supply chains, creating real opportunities for those who produce, invests and innovates. Italy —thanks to President Giorgia Meloni’s stance, the work of Minister Antonio Tajani, and the contribution of Ambassador Francesco Talò— has demonstrated its ability to play a central role not only in vision, but in execution: infrastructure, connectivity, rules, and tools that make Italian businesses more competitive beyond national borders. I return from New Delhi with one certainty: Italy, the European Union and India share a direction. Now we need continuity and concreteness: creating new opportunities for our companies and defend our global positioning.
