Health care for Italians residing abroad. The bill comes from the Hon. Andrea Di Giuseppe, elected on the list of Brothers of Italy in the foreign constituency of Central and North America. Currently, Italians residing abroad have the right to limited healthcare, i.e. limited to emergency services (“emergency room and maternity”) and for a maximum period of 90 days. Therefore, an Italian regularly registered with the A.I.R.E. loses the right to basic healthcare. The time factor on the conversion of a bill is certainly an important deterrent. The drafting of the bill took place thanks to teams of different expertise and has the aim of facilitating Italians abroad and Italy itself.
