I participated in the celebrations for the 78th Italian Republic Day, organized by the Consulate General in Miami, where almost a thousand people were present.
Since the proclamation of the Italian Republic we have had over sixty governments, a long demonstration of lack of coherence and political instability which has often transmitted insecurity to our international partners. I have lived for over twenty years in the United States, the longest-lived Western democracy where the citizens’ vote, unlike what has happened several times here, is respected, giving strength to the country. For this reason, I believe that the reform of the premiership is fundamental, which would give continuity to our governments and a renewed image of Italy: greater stability, strong governability and political solidity.
Best wishes to our politically young Republic and to our Italy, the cradle of civilization.
