Chico Forti is scheduled to meet today at 1pm with his 96-year-old mother whom he hasn’t seen since 2008. Yesterday the Venice Surveillance Court gave the green light to the request made by the defender ‘for humanitarian reasons’. Forti, accompanied by the penitentiary police, has already left the Montorio prison in Verona where he will return by the end of the evening. Forti’s visit to his mother’s house in Trento will last about three hours and he will not be able to leave the house. Uncle Gianni and brother Stefano were also present at the meeting. The announcement of the green light was given by Fratelli d’Italia deputy Andrea Di Giuseppe who was the first to visit Forti immediately after his transfer to the Veronese prison.
