Meloni will be accompanied by a delegation of Fratelli d’Italia, composed of deputies Andrea Di Giuseppe, Antonio Giordano and the MEP Carlo Fidanza. The choice of the prime minister to personally lead the delegation has surprised deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini, who aimed to represent the Italian government if Meloni had given up.
