There are men who don’t just go through life: they challenge it.
Alex Zanardi was this. A champion, of course. But above all a man who transformed pain into strength, tragedy for example, the limit into a new departure.
When many would have had the right to stop, he chose to leave again. When life took something away from him, he responded by giving the world back so much more: courage, smile, dignity, hope.
Zanardi didn’t just teach us how to win. He taught us that true victory is not coming first, but not letting falls define you. It reminded us that the human being, when he has within him an authentic light, can become stronger even than destiny.
Today Italy loses a champion. But it holds an immense lesson: never give up, even when it seems impossible.
Thanks Alex. For what you did. For what you’ve been. And for what you will continue to represent for all of us.
