In Panama City exceptional mobilization of the Italian community and local politicians of Italian descent. On the occasion of my official visit for the first hearing of our compatriot Stefano Conti, who has been in prison for over a year without being tried, I met with Com.It.Es. local and President Riccardo Martinelli RM, an Italian-born politician who led Panama from 2009 to 2014 and is now a candidate with Realizando Metals in the presidential election, where he could win his second term. I felt a very strong closeness to Stephen from all of them and from our community. Italians around the world know that the Meloni government is close to them and, after decades of nothing, a relationship between the homeland, emigrants and their descendants is being rebuilt.
