On January 26, India celebrates Republic Day, introduced in the country in 1950. I would like to thank Ambassador Neena Malhotra for not only inviting me but also allowing me the honor of attending the celebratory ceremony, an important moment that reminds us of the birth of an independent republic and the importance of protecting democratic governments.
